Happy Thanksgiving!

I just wanted to personally wish each and everyone of you a very Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that you enjoy this time of thanksgiving and the opportunity to spend the holiday with family and friends. Don’t forget to charge your batteries and carry your camera with you to capture memories that you’ll end up cherishing forever.

‘09 Christmas Social Details
We will hold our annual Christmas Social in place of our December meeting, December 10 @ 7pm. We will meet for dinner at Best of Seasons on Wesmark Blvd — we have the place to ourselves. Please bring your spouse or significant other. Also if you are interested we are going to do a gift exchange (Chinese/White Elephant) so we are asking that each person that would like to participate bring a gift. Monthly walkabout this weekend

Information from Bobby Nance:

See the announcement below for details concerning this month’s walkabout.   The trip there shouldn’t take more than 40 to 45 minutes.  I have not googled the exact location to get specific directions but will be glad to help anyone who emails me.  I hope to go first thing Saturday morning, so will probably leave Sumter about 7:15 or so, unless my plans change.  This looks like an all-day affair, so you should feel free to come when you can and leave when you can.

With the bad weather to our north, conditions may not be favorable on Saturday, so I suggest you keep an eye on the forecast before leaving.  If the event is rained out or cancelled, I have no backup or alternative plans for this month. **Note that there is an admission fee for adults.**  I hope to see you there!

Halloween shoot a success!

Nov mtg details

Timeless Memories!

The Sumter Digital Camera Club’s very own Jennifer VanAllen from Timeless Memories will be giving our presentation this month. (Really, she is going to share this time. Chris forgot the projector last month and has been threatened to be flogged if he doesn’t bring it this month!)

Our next brainstorming meeting will be held on Tuesday evening, Nov. 10, at 6:30 p.m. We will meet in the Chick-fil-a food court at Sumter Mall (eat w/ us if you’d like) and give suggestions as we plan for another great year in 2010. This meeting is open to anyone who is interested (members, past visitors and guests who would like to become involved, etc).
