Raindrops, raindrops & flowers of course!

One of our members asked about photographing raindrops, so I here are some tips and a neat little video that I found describing how to not only photograph them, but how to come up with create backgrounds for your picture too, enjoy!

You’ll need …

  • A tripod or Gorillapod
  • Macro Lens (or other macro setup)
  • A Plamp or similar device
  • Rainy day OR a spray bottle
  • Flowers
  • PATIENCE!

Some other things to remember …

  • Shoot on a windless day
  • Find raindrop and compose your image
  • Focus on the image in the center of the raindrop
  • Flower that is in the shade OR us a diffuser
  • Open up your aperture
  • Find general position w/ fingers and then replace with flower
  • Making your own background! *This is pretty neat
