This month’s meeting marks the 5th anniversary of the Sumter Digital Camera Club — my how 5 years has flown by and the world has changed!
We have a party planned this meeting along with special guest, Ashley Ward, a Columbia based photographer that will be coming to share her work and some techniques to add “flare” to your images. Check out her website, click here. Ashley is a Lifestyle Portrait Artist. She provides her clients with on-location portrait photography — children and families — utilizing natural lighting.
The meeting will be held next Thursday, March 11, at 7pm in the community meeting room at Sumter Mall.
This is going to be a meeting that you don’t want to miss! Not only do we have a great guest speaker, but I hear that we’ll have another special guest making an appearance that evening too, you’ll have to be there to find out who and what they will be sharing.
This is the meeting that you’ll want to bring a FRIEND too, so bring two or three and we’ll have a good time and learn a lot. Make to forward this on so they can put it on their calendar.

PICTURE PERFECT: This weekend the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens in NC will host representatives from major camera manufacturing companies and retailers for Picture Perfect from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. The event is a complement to the Garden’s popular ongoing series of photography classes. The event will also feature Stacy L. Pearsall, who got her start as an Air Force photographer over 12 years ago at the age of 17. This event is FREE after you pay the $10 entry into the gardens. Can’t beat that!!! Some are driving up for the day each day and a group of us are staying overnight and coming home Sunday. NEXT PLANNING MTG: We will hold our next planning meeting on Tuesday, March 9 at 6:30. If you are interested in attending — these jam / planning sessions are open to all members and guests — as we plan ahead for the meeting that week and for down the road (months to come).
